Travel and Baggage Insurance

 

IT IS ALWAYS BETTER TO HAVE INSURANCE AND NOT NEED IT THAN TO NEED TRAVEL INSURANCE AND NOT HAVE IT!

The vast majority of travelers take out travel insurance policies to protect themselves from unforeseen emergencies.  Insurance is meant to provide you with peace of mind about your vacation.  It will not cover you for non-emergencies or unstable pre-existing conditions.  However, there are a lot of reasons why you should consider travel insurance.  Here are a few:

  • ·          If you are leaving parents or children behind, insurance will protect you in the event of their illness or other emergency
  • ·         If you get seasick or are injured while on your cruise, a trip to the ship’s doctor would be covered.
  • ·         If you have a confirmed flight that is unable to take off due to weather or mechanical problems, insurance will cover you
  • ·         You will be covered in the event of a government-issued travel advisory warning citizens not to travel to the country in question.

You can insure ALL your checked luggage for a low fee of $5.00/person on your airline flights.  If you baggage is lost and reported to the airline, and not returned to you within 4 days, Blue Ribbon Bags will pay you $1000 for each bag.
